Adding Emails to Your Course

With the Zippy Courses All-In-One Platform, you don't even need an email service, like MailChimp or Infusionsoft, to reach out to your students. You can create emails specific to each of your courses directly in Zippy Courses.

If you haven't yet, take a moment to set up your site email settings (by going to Settings and clicking the Email tab). Once that's taken care of, we can start building our email campaigns.

First, click the Add Email to Course button. A panel will appear with several options. Click Edit Email to create the email.

Start by giving your email a subject heading. Then, create the body of your email. We've provided a lot of customization options so that you can build your emails the way you want, including the option to insert links, images, videos, tables, and shortcodes into your email. Shortcodes allow you to personalize your emails. Ever received an email from a business that mentions your name or other information specific to you in it? Shortcodes help you accomplish that.

Once you're done, click Update Email.

You can now set when you want your students to receive the email. This is based on when the student started the course. For example, if you want to send your students a course email the day they sign up for the course, set the email to send 0 days after student joins course. If you created a drip schedule for your course and are releasing new content every week, you can notify your students by sending out emails that coincide with when that content becomes available. If new content becomes available weekly, set your emails to send 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, etc. after student joins course.

If you ever need to delete an email, click the blue X in the top right corner of the email panel.

Once you've created your emails, click Save, and you're done!
